THE POWER OF PEOPLE

“There’s power in allowing yourself to be known and heard, in owning your unique story, in using your authentic voice. And there’s grace in being willing to know and hear others,”
— Michelle Obama

I have been facilitating #IamRemarkable sessions since March 2020, around the time we all went indoors. In many ways having this monthly date in the calendar and a ‘zoom room’ filled with strangers (ones who can’t see each other’s feet or share each other’s biscuits) has really helped my lockdown. The impact of seeing people share inspirational stories, realise their achievements and warmth that you can get through a computer screen is.. well.. pretty remarkable in itself.

#IamRemarkable Week (12-19 November)

I am proud to say I’ve made it to the Gold Tier! This is no lockdown tier of ‘can’t do’s and isolation, but a tier that celebrates hearing over 60 people’s accomplishments out loud, seeing people challenge themselves (95% of participants said they felt more confident to self-promote) and ensure their working environments reflect a culture of recognising each others achievements (1005 agree they felt inspired to self-promote).

So what is in it for you?

A LOT! #IamRemarkable Week, running on 12-19 November is a digital experience featuring virtual talks, online workshops and confidence boosting challenge and is part of a Google initiative empowering everyone to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. This programme challenges the power of diversity and allyship, as well as your own personal and professional achievements.

There are many talks and workshops, including…

Tracking your accomplishments

If you can’t make any of the above though, and are just looking for some ‘self-reflection’ or ‘accountability’ this FREE tool is a great way to give yourself a daily challenge or boost your confidence. This free tracker tool can be used before, with or after a workshop and will give you that extra push to shout about the good things.

The #IamRemarkabler’s - What participants say…

-        ‘It was great! Pushing ourselves to talk about being remarkable is a great start to feeling positive about our skills and achievements’

-        ‘I will pass this on to others at work and friends and family. It provided a wider context to understand how it has become ok for women to not talk about their accomplishments enough.

-        ‘A positive environment with other people and support from a facilitator to think and practice how to self-promote within the real world. It was great!’

-        ‘I originally thought that an hour and a half sounded a long time but it went by very fast.      I think I wanted it to carry on a bit longer!!’

Free Workshops and Beyond
