How it Works

Dates: Tuesdays (11.30 - 1.30pm) 17th / 24th June, 1st / 8th / 15th July.

I have woven together coaching expertise and art-based techniques to craft a fresh, imaginative way to learn. My unique Group Coaching style blends Coaching, Creativity, and Community - offering a vibrant space where you’re truly seen, heard, and inspired to act. Rooted in the Action Learning Set model, you’ll coach and be coached, solving real challenges while sharpening your leadership skills and expanding your management toolkit with powerful, practical techniques.By joining this 5 week practical course you will;

1.    LEARN HOW TO COACH, by learning and practicing key coaching methods, creative techniques and principles.

2.    RECEIVE ‘COACHING’ through the peer coaching process everyone will have the opportunity to be coached - learning by working together on real-life work challenges and problem-solving within a supportive environment.

3.    LEARN SPECIFIC MANAGEMENT / LEADERSHIP SKILLS; each week will focus on a specific challenge such as Imposter Syndrome, Values at work, Confidence, Having Difficult Conversations, Brave Leadership and Self-Promotion.

4. Have the chance to CONTINUE the course beyond the 5 weeks as a group for FREE – the sustainable model encourages the group to become ‘self-led’, so they will continue to learn, grow, improve and practice together beyond the course.

*This course is for all women, which includes trans women and non-binary individuals who identify or feel comfortable in a women's space.

How does Group Coaching work?

My method of Group Coaching prioritises learning, participation, confidence building and fun! I use Action Learning sets which is a method that includes everyone in the process - Watch this short video to see how it works– What is an Action Learning Set?

Logistics

Sessions take place on Zoom, where we all meet, share and work together. The Action Learning set model ensures everyone has space to share, talk and be heard – it adds safety to the process so there is no ‘awkwardness’, but works around the principle of equal understanding amongst the group.

What happens after the course?

It is Sustainable! You can keep going! At the end of the course you will have learnt how to use a number of key coaching skills and have a range of different tools in your toolbox. The course is a sustainable model and the group are encouraged to continue (self-led), to practice, grow skills take it in turns to facilitate and support each other.

*Please note this is not an accredited course.

What people say?

The course was really well planned and organised. The progression from each session was enough so that we could build on what had been learned previously. Liz was fantastic; she was so encouraging - I felt at ease when being coached, and very happy to be open and honest. When practising my coaching, Liz gave me plenty of time to think of open questions, different coaching models, but stepped in when I needed help. Thank you so much Liz!”

Former Participant

It is changed the way I approach leadership and the way I do things like 121s at work. By putting more of a focus on the person / coachee finding their own solutions by asking the right questions.”

Former Participant

I feel that I am a bold and confident leader now and have more strategies to manage the complex relationships at work!

Liz is a brilliant coach. Her insight and ability to frame things in a positive and practical light has made it easy to reflect on situations and find solutions to move forward at work. I have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and additional resources provided each week. Liz is great at listening and then helping me to uncover the answers, rather than telling me what to do. I would recommend Liz as a coach to anyone!

Group Coaching Participant

Over the course of the 4 weeks we all had the opportunity to be coached by each other, but more importantly (for us) we got to learn through Liz's direction key tools for coaching and every session we were able to practice our coaching skills on each other. We all felt this was well pitched, where we had the opportunity to try out ways of asking questions, reflecting and helping develop the coachee's goal. We all would really recommend Liz's workshop, and have applied the skills in our working environment.

While I was taking part they really gave me a sense of peace during the hour or so that I didn't really expect - it was a bit like meditation! Practising the action learning sets as often as we did was really helpful and by the final session you could see how much of an improvement we'd made.

Anna Smalley

I benefited immensely from the safe space created by Liz and the rest of the group, as we learnt to put our coaching skills to the test and build on the practice. On a personal level, it allowed me to build confidence in my coaching and active listening skills. I've found training around coaching has enabled me to build up skills to tackle difficult topics.

Hearing others ask questions you wouldn't have thought to ask and seeing how this shapes the conversation, or seeing the coachee have a 'lightbulb moment' about something provides you with extra learning you wouldn't experience if it was 121.
